Invite families into the magic of publishing!

When parents feel included in the journey, it boosts excitement at home and motivates students to do their best work. Sharing updates throughout the project helps everyone feel part of the celebration.

Note: Each classroom has a unique Class Code. Make sure you're within the right project so your parent flyers and email templates reflect the correct information for your class.

Pre-Session Flyer Email Template

When to Send?

Send this email to parents on the same day you send home the pre-session flyers. It lets families know what the project is about and gives them the link to pre-order and confirm participation.

Hi Parents,

I’m excited to let you know that our class is about to start a new publishing project where every student will become a real published author!

Each child will be writing and personalizing their very own illustrated storybook, and we’ll be celebrating with a special classroom event once they’re finished.

To help us get ready, I’m sending home a flyer with all the details. This includes:

  • A quick form to confirm your child’s participation
  • A link or QR code to pre-order your child’s book if you’d like a printed copy

Please take a moment to respond as soon as you can. All responses are due within the next few days so we can stay on track for our celebration.

This is going to be a fun and meaningful project, and I know your child is going to be so proud to share their story with you!

Thanks so much,
[Your Name]

P.S. You don’t need to buy anything to participate, but if you’d like a copy of your child’s book, pre-ordering early gives you a discount and helps make sure it arrives in time for the celebration.

Post-Session Flyer Email Template

When to Send?

Send this email to parents on the same day the post-session flyers go home. It lets families view their child’s finished book and gives them 7 days to place a final order before your classroom celebration.

Hi Parents,

I’m so proud of what the class has created. Every student has written and illustrated their very own book, and now it’s time to celebrate their work.

Your child brought home a flyer today with a QR code and link to view their finished story and place an order if you’d like a printed copy. These make incredible keepsakes, and the kids are so excited to share them with you.

There are 7 days to place your order, which ensures the books arrive in time for our classroom celebration. All details are on the flyer your child brought home.

Thank you again for supporting this project. It’s been such a joy watching your children become published authors!
