Build My Story Referral Incentive Terms

The Build My Story Referral Incentive Program rewards teachers and school staff who refer another educator that completes a Build My Story classroom project.

By participating in the referral program, you agree to these Referral Incentive Terms.

Who Can Participate

Any teacher or school staff member may participate in the referral program.

Geographic Eligibility

The referral program is open internationally. Incentive type and delivery method may vary by country.

What Counts as a Successful Referral

A referral is considered successful only when all of the following occur:

• The referred teacher registers for a Build My Story project
• The referred teacher enters a valid referral code during registration
• The referred teacher completes one full Build My Story classroom project (students create books in class)

Referral incentives are awarded once per referred teacher. If the referred teacher completes multiple projects, the referral incentive is still only awarded once.

Referral Attribution Rules

Referral credit is only given when a valid referral code is entered during project registration.

If a teacher already exists in the Build My Story system from before the referral period, they must re-register using the referral code to qualify.

If a referral code is not entered at registration, the referral may not be eligible for incentive delivery.

Incentive Types

Incentives may include, but are not limited to:

• Digital gift cards (for example Amazon or equivalent)
• In-app benefits or credits
• Physical rewards connected to future Build My Story projects
• Other promotional incentives offered by Build My Story

Incentive types may change over time or vary by promotion, campaign, location, or participant eligibility.

Incentive Delivery Timing

Incentives are typically delivered within 14 days after the referred teacher completes their first qualifying project.

Delivery method depends on incentive type:

• Digital gift cards are delivered via email
• In-app benefits are automatically applied to the account
• Physical or project-based rewards may be applied to a future project cycle

If a specific promotion states a different timeline or delivery method, that promotion will override this standard timing.

Referral Limits

There is currently no annual cap on the number of referrals a participant can make.

However, each referred teacher can only generate one referral incentive.

Fraud and Abuse

Build My Story reserves the right to withhold, cancel, or reverse incentives if suspicious activity, abuse, duplicate accounts, artificial referrals, or misuse of the program is detected.

Self-referrals are not allowed.

Taxes

Participants are responsible for any taxes, reporting, or legal obligations related to receiving incentives.

Changes or Termination

Build My Story may modify, pause, or end the referral program or these terms at any time without prior notice.

Final Determination

Build My Story reserves the right to make final decisions on referral eligibility, attribution, and incentive qualification.
