For Teachers & Schools
A free literacy project where each student drafts a story and receives a digital flipbook/PDF. Families can optionally buy a printed copy.
We’re funded by optional parent purchases. No cost to the school or district to run the project.
Teachers control student accounts. Student work is private by default and viewable only to the teacher (and the parent if invited). We don’t sell student data. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Yes. Build My Story supports Clever SSO and Secure Sync for automated class rostering.

Once you click Ship Books in your Teacher Dashboard:
United States: Books typically arrive within 10 days.
United Kingdom: Books typically arrive within 14 days.
These timelines include both printing and delivery. You’ll receive tracking details as soon as your order ships.
Yes. Email [email protected] with: school/district name, contact person, how many students/books, shipping address, required delivery date, PO number (if using one), tax-exempt certificate (if applicable), and any class or teacher split instructions. We’ll contact you regarding next steps.

For Parents & Families
No. You can create a free digital book at home and then choose to purchase a printed copy if you like. Every print purchase includes a PDF.
One printed softcover book plus a downloadable PDF in your account library. Price: $19.95 with free shipping.
Yes. If your child’s class is running Build My Story, you’ll receive two flyers: one before the program to preorder and acknowledge participation, and one after with a QR code so you can preview the book before purchasing. Previews are not watermarked and can be shared.
We currently ship to the United States, United Kingdom, Europe, and Australia. Typical delivery times (printing + shipping) from order or teacher “Ship Books”:
United States: about 10 days
United Kingdom: about 14 days
Europe & Australia: about 14 days
We print locally and use priority services with local carriers. Local disruptions can occasionally cause delays.
Report print defects or transit damage within 14 days of receiving your book. Include photos, your order number, and the book title, and we’ll reprint and resend. Because books are personalized, we don’t offer change-of-mind refunds.
Digital items: your first digital book is free; any additional digital-only purchases are non-refundable.

Plans & Billing
Most families make one-off purchases. Subscriptions are still available on request; contact support for current plans and quotas.
Yes. Go to My Profile → My Plan to cancel. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your billing cycle. You’ll keep access to any PDFs and flipbooks you’ve already obtained.
We support multi-currency at checkout. We do not add foreign-exchange fees.
Book Customization & Options
No. Photo upload is optional. You can describe your character and we’ll generate options, or upload your own image.
We apply moderation to block inappropriate images or content. Uploaded photos and generated assets are used only for your book and are not used for model training.
Orders move to print quickly. After purchase, edits and cancellations are not guaranteed. If it’s urgent, email support within 12 hours and we’ll do our best before printing begins.
